As of July 2021, José Maillet, a professor at Audencia and an expert in energy transition and CSR, becomes the Head of Gaïa. This is the first school launched by a business school - Audencia - dedicated to training in positive impact management strategies and practices, in line with the major challenges of ecological and social transition.
José Maillet oversees the development of Gaïa's activities, working alongside the Audencia's General Management and all the school's departments, and relying on a network of internal and external collaborations and their expertise. He will support all the programs in the construction of specific courses dedicated to these issues. At the entrepreneurial level, he will develop a network of economic actors and NGOs involved in the educational content.
He holds a Master's degree in Social and Human Sciences, Sociology of Organisations from the University of Nantes (2007) and is also a graduate of Audencia's Grande Ecole programme (2011) and a Doctor of Management Sciences and Marketing (Audencia, 2019). He also held the position of Head of the Marketing major at Audencia from 2016 to 2019. He also accompanied Nantes Métropole in the CSR criterization of its public procurement contracts. He trains students in economics integrating physical planetary limits (energy transition and climate change issues).
